DC Restaurants That Cook With Our Veggies!

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to partner with some of Washington, DC’s top restaurants to provide locally-grown produce for their menus. Check out some of these restaurants next time you’re in DC!

Bresca

Bresca is a modern Parisian bistro that brings French culinary techniques to the happening 14th Street in DC. From small plates to entrees and desserts, each dish is crafted with responsibly-sourced ingredients. Bresca is a great place to enjoy delicious French cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere!

Centrolina

Experience regional Italian cooking with seasonal ingredients at Chef Amy Brandwein’s Centrolina! Their menu features delicious rotating traditional Italian dishes including antipasti, pasta, a lenga (from the terracotta-clad wood oven), contorni (side dishes) and dolce.

The Dabney

Head to Blagden Alley to experience delicious Mid-Atlantic cuisine at The Dabney! Centered around a wood-burning hearth, this restaurant features an open kitchen where dishes are prepared using ingredients from local farms in the region. The menu features items that highlight seasonal ingredients like the scallop crudo with cucumber salad, onion, lemon thyme & yogurt pictured above.

Ellē 

Cafe and bakery by day, restaurant by night. Ellē is the ultimate neighborhood spot in Mount Pleasant for delicious pastries, bread, sandwiches, and creative dinner entrees. Stop by and try some of their unique dishes that have a focus on fermentation. Pictured above is their Tian de courgettes, French countryside casserole of summer squash, carolina gold rice, bechamel, pecorino, grilled beans, and squash blossom. 

Maketto

Maketto is a communal space featuring a Taiwanese and Cambodian restaurant, café, and retail shop all in one. Some highlights from Chef Erik Bruner-Yang’s menu include Spicy Cauliflower, Tofu & Spicy Basil Sauce, and Wok-Fried Rice Noodles with mushroom sauce and local vegetables. Stop by and check out Maketto next time you’re on H Street!

Nina May

Located in the Shaw neighborhood of DC, Nina May is a New American restaurant inspired by Executive Chef Colin McClimans and General Manager Danilo Simic daughters’ names. Nina May features seasonal and hyperlocal ingredients, which allows guests to try a range of dishes family style on their frequently-changing menu. Pictured above is their Autumn Olive Farm Pork Schnitzel with squash blossom, sugar snap peas, and caper lemon butter sauce. 

Oyster Oyster

Oyster Oyster works with Mid-Atlantic farms to create a vegetable-centered menu focused on sustainability. Their dishes also include oysters from the Chesapeake and mushrooms foraged locally. They offer an oystertarian tasting menu (that can also be made vegan or vegetarian), which changes based on the season. A highlight from one of Oyster Oyster’s recent menus is the lion's mane mushroom steak with peter wilcox potatoes glazed in seaweed butter braised kalette and vegetable reduction pictured above!

Reveler’s Hour

Opened by the owners of Tail Up Goat, Reveler’s Hour is an Adams Morgan restaurant known for great pasta and wine. Their menu features a variety of small plates with seasonal produce and seafood, as well as larger plates and pastas like the pasta with peppers, tomatoes, and eggplant pictured above.

Tail Up Goat

Opened by owners Jon Sybert, Jill Tyler, and Bill Jensen, Tail Up Goat is a restaurant located in Adams Morgan serving Mediterranean-influenced dishes made with locally-sourced ingredients. The restaurant's name is inspired by the U.S. Virgin Islands, where Jill grew up! You can find flavorful dishes like the peaches with Carolina gold rice and pickled jalapeno pictured above on their menu.
