2024 Year in Review

As we near the end of the year, we wanted to take some time to look back on all that we have accomplished in 2024 at Moon Valley Farm! We’re so proud to grow food for so many people in our community including our CSA members, retail customers, local restaurants, schools, and donation partners.

Thank you all for supporting our farm and helping us feed more people delicious local produce every year!

Check out some of our year-end stats below!

Produce Delivered

  • We had 1,004 total wonderful CSA members this year!

  • This year we delivered  33,175 boxes!

  • We sent out over 300,000 pounds of food this year!

Farm Production

We planted over 10,000,000 seeds!!

  • We used 1,200,360 million gallons of water!

  • We planted 287 trees to promote biodiversity, for food and for a buffer zone!

Veggies

  • The most visited recipe page on our website? Tetsukabuto Squash!

  • The most searched for veggies on our website:

    • Squash

    • Cabbage

    • Kale

Donations

  • To date this year, our members have already donated 368 CSA boxes! That’s 368 families living with food insecurity who have gotten fresh food thanks to our incredible members!

  • We’ve donated 72 boxes and 17,524 lbs of produce valued $70,796.13 this year to Gleaning Project!

  • We’ve donated 61 boxes to the Food As Medicine program on top of the 3,117 boxes that we provided!

  • We’ve donated 157 boxes to the Enoch Fridge Program!

  • We’ve donated 78 boxes to Frederick Food Security!
